The Bean Queen

The Bean Queen has closed forever.

On March 29th, the last cup of coffee was served.  In the evening, Chris's movie, shot in the Bean Queen in 1996, was premiered to a select audience of 70 BQ patrons.  Then, in the evening of March 30th, the LAST SUPPER was held: about 100 of us were served food & drink in the Bean Queen and gathered in the alley for a sit-down dinner catered by David & Karen of LA's 2424 Pico.  On March 31st, Diana removed  A People Palette, (which you can still view on the internet), Karin and friends dismantled the interior furnishings, and Park Row became - just another Venice alley.

Some of you have many questions.  All will be answered here very soon.  We will be posting Karin's letter, explaining why she closed (Karin is fine, so don't worry).  We will be posting pictures - from the events mentioned above, from the glory days, and from any and all who wish to stay in touch.  These will be coming very soon.

You can keep in touch in various ways: see below.
